LSM Pumps ApS has developed a new linear hose pump for transporting larger fish as an alternative to vacuum pumps.

LSM Pumps ApS has developed a new linear hose pump for transporting larger fish as an alternative to vacuum pumps.

The target group is primarily salmon/trout producers, both sea-based and land-based farming, as well as larger fish industries. Currently, sea-based salmon farming is the largest, but the number of land-based fish farms (RAS facilities – Recirculation Aquaculture Systems) is increasing every year.

It is possible to achieve energy savings of 75-80% (a 100 kW vacuum pump can be replaced by a 20 kW hose pump).

A significant advantage is the stress-free and safe transport, which prevents interruptions in the growth cycle.

  • Suitable for both sea-based and land-based farming
  • Transport of fish species around 5 kg
  • Dimensions: 7000 x 1700 x 1700 mm
  • Capacity approx. 500 m³/hour
  • Less stress – faster growth
  • Energy savings of 75-80%
  • Reduction of CO2 emissions
  • Operating principle patented
